Shift Lead at Junction Coffee 

Hourly Part Time

24-30 hrs/wk

Description

Shift leads are responsible for organizing and overseeing day-to-day operations of the coffee shop, meeting customer and employee needs, overseeing cleanliness and organization of the shop, overseeing task list and inventory, while maintaining brand values and mission. The Shift Lead opens/closes the shop as scheduled and is willing and capable to fill any role when needed. This person works mornings, weekends and some holidays

Responsibilities

  • Greets everyone who comes in with a warm, welcoming attitude

  • Exemplifies and upholds Junction Coffee Mission and Values.

  • Flexible in all customer facing roles

  • Delegates daily and weekly tasks appropriately 

  • Tracks and reports sales and keeps an accurate cash drawer

  • Communicates openly and honestly with owners

  • Keeps updated inventory and stock sheets.

  • Opens and closes shop when scheduled

  • Knows and follows Food health requirements/codes

  • Troubleshoots minor issues with equipment

  • Conflict resolution

Qualifications 

  • High school diploma

  • Reliable Transportation

  • Management experience preferred

  • Barista experience preferred 

  • Lift/ Carry 40lbs

  • Move through space with ease

  • Available weekends and early mornings and holidays

Barista

 
 

Barista at Junction Coffee 

Hourly Part Time

10-15 hrs/wk

20-25 hrs/wk

Description 

Junction Baristas make espresso and espresso based drinks, prepares other food/drink items, provides support to other baristas, participates in keeping a clean work station, kitchen and seating area, assists in daily opening/closing operations, and maintains front of house product stock. The baristas report to the shift lead and refer to them and/or the company manual when needed.

Responsibilities 

  • Greets everyone who comes in with a warm, welcoming attitude 

  • Makes quality espresso, milk and coffee consistently,  according to Junction coffee’s brand standard

  • Maintains a clean and tidy work space, kitchen and dining area

  • Performs tasks on daily/weekly task lists.

  • Cashiers when needed

  • Upholds Junction Coffee Values 

  • Abides by food health requirements and codes.

Qualifications 

  • High school diploma

  • Reliable Transportation

  • Lift/ Carry 40lbs

  • Move through space with ease

  • Available weekend and early mornings or evenings

  • Barista experience preferred, but not required

Seasonal Support

 
 

Seasonal Support at Junction Coffee 

Hourly Part Time (10-15hrs)

3-4 months commitment

Description

Seasonal support at Junction Coffee is the first face customers see. They take orders, operate the register, participate in keeping the dining room and counters clean and organized, assist in daily opening/closing operations, and provide cash drawer reports at the end of each shift. Junction seasonal support reports to the Shift Lead and refer to them and/or the company manual when needed.

Responsibilities 

  • Greets everyone who comes in with a warm, welcoming attitude 

  • Takes orders and runs point of sale

  • Maintains a clean environment and work space 

  • Maintains and re stocks Merchandise

  • Performs tasks on daily/weekly task lists.

  • Upholds Junction Coffee Values.

  • Abides by food health requirements and codes.

Variable Hours

Description

Events and catering is a big part of what we do! As such, we sometimes need people who function as “contractors” who can jump in and lend support as needed but without requiring standard hours or being a full payrolled employee. Think “extra spending cash”rather than “steady paycheck”.

Responsibilities 

  • Greets everyone with a warm, welcoming attitude 

  • Takes orders and/or runs point of sale

  • Assist in prep/cleaning of bar “back”

  • Assist in crafting drinks as skilled or neccesary

  • Upholds Junction Coffee Values.

  • Abides by food health requirements and codes.

Qualifications 

  • High School Diploma preferred

  • Reliable Transportation

  • Lift/ Carry 40lbs

  • Move through space with ease

  • Available weekends, evenings, potentially midday

  • Coffee experience preferred but not required

Manager

Manager at Junction Coffee 

Hourly Full Time

35-40 hrs/wk

Description

The Manager is responsible for organizing and overseeing day-to-day operations of the Alley shop, meeting customer and employee needs, scheduling employee shifts, overseeing cleanliness and organization of the shop, and overseeing task list and inventory all while maintaining brand values and mission. The Manager works closely with ownership to help ensure things run smoothly, and Junction is represented well to each person served. The Manager is the first contact for all team members and willing and capable to fill any role when needed. This person can set their own schedule, but is available mornings, weekends and some holidays.

Responsibilities
